Liverpool are reportedly planning to offer Marco Reus a £200,000-a-week contract in order to push through a move for the midfielder.
The 25-year-old Borussia Dortmund star is said to be Reds manager Brendan Rodgers's number one target ahead of the January transfer window.
Dortmund are said to have already started looking for a replacement for Reus, who has made just two appearances so far this season due to injury.
A report in The Metro claims that Liverpool will offer the Germany international a five-year mega-money contract, which will make him the club's highest paid player ever.
Manchester City are also allegedly monitoring Reus, along with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal.
