Crystal Palace v Chelsea: Blues to prevail but Eagles will notch

Chelsea have conceded five times in three away league games this season

Crystal Palace v Chelsea: Blues to prevail but Eagles will notch
Last season Crystal Palace secured a famous win over Chelsea at Selhurst Park. However, that was against Jose Mourinho’s ‘little horses’ not the thoroughbred ones of the new campaign who have just stampeded their way to 19 points from seven games.
Ladbrokes tend to agree with the theory that successive home wins for Palace over the Blues would be a massive shock, labelling it a 15/2 shot, while the visitors are 2/5 chances and a draw is 7/2.
Here’s three ways we feel it best to turn a profit from the clash:
Chelsea to win and both teams to score @ 9/4
Mourinho’s men need no pepping up for their return to Premier League action off the back of a four straight wins in all competitions prior to the international break.
Meanwhile, Palace’s decent run was ended abruptly by Hull last time around and they may struggle to contain the power and guile of this ominous Chelsea attack built around Diego Costa.
Nevertheless, they should be greatly encouraged by the fact Chelsea have at least conceded in each of their three top-flight games on the road so far.
Result after 30 minutes: Chelsea at 27/20
A feature of Chelsea’s winning repertoire this season is their ability to get their noses in front and generally before 30 minutes has elapsed.
This bet would have landed in four of the west Londoners seven league games so far and in 2/3 on the road.
Diego Costa to score and Chelsea to win @ 6/5
Such has been the whirlwind force of Costa’s introduction to Premier League life, that defences have been blown away like un-pegged tents on a cliff top.
Only Manchester City have been able to keep the Spaniard out in seven games and another Costa goal feels elementary south of the Thames.
