Manchester United fans: Is Louis van Gaal really that much better than David Moyes? Our stats suggest otherwise…

Louis van Gaal is just a point better off than David Moyes, with Chelsea and Manchester City up next #Gulp

The Paddy Power Blog’s Sack Race graphic (below) tracks van Gaal’s record against David Moyes, and will do so for the season.
It currently makes for bleak reading for United fans, with van Gaal spending a whopping £170m (luckily most of it was on Angel Di Maria) yet accumulating just one more point than Moyes’ side at the same stage. As our handy graphic shows that means the Dutchman has spent more than a staggering £14m per point he’s won so far this season. No wonder Ed Woodward is losing his marbles.
Van Gaal’s United side are two places ahead of were Moyes’ Man United were at this stage last season, however it isn’t all rainbows and lollipops at Old Trafford. Next up for Manchester United the simple task of a home game against league leaders Chelsea. Last season David Moyes’ United side managed to come away with a clean sheet and a 0-0 draw in the game… few United fans will feel optimistic about shutting Chelsea out this time round. An away trip to Manchester City comes next #Gulp
A few slip-ups here and there and Moyes will be back ahead in our Sack Race.
