Andre Schurrle to miss Germany vs. Ireland qualifier with the flu

By  on Oct 14 2014

Andre Schurrle won't be fit enough to take part in Germany's Euro 2016 qualifier against Ireland, but it doesn't sound as if it's anything that should be of too much concern for Chelsea fans. The forward has come down with some flu like symptoms, and will be held out of the game because of that. Luckily though, he has noArsenal DNA in his system, so this really shouldn't result in limbs falling off.
With any luck, Schurrle will be fit enough to make the squad this weekend, when Chelsea football resumes. I'd be a bit surprised if he starts though, which is probably not an issue with all of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Mohamed Salah, and Willian fit and ready to play.
The World Cup champions are set to take on Ireland this evening in Germany. The squad they're able to run out there should still be fine without the Chelsea man.
