This Is Shocking! Liverpool Set To Replace Balotelli With £31.2m Worth Former Arsenal Target

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has grown tired of new summer signing Mario Balotelli and is set to replace him with Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain in the January transfer window.
According to the Daily Express, the Reds have launched a £31.2m bid  that puts them in prime position to sign the former Real Madrid man.
Higuain has grown disillusioned at Naples according to the Italian reports and a move might soon be on the cards. The 26-year old has a decent goalscoring record in the Serie A but is edging for a move after refusing to comment on his future.
Liverpool have had problems this season as £16m summer signing Mario Balotelli hasn’t impressed. The striker’s movement coupled with his poor finishing have hurt Liverpool so far. He was taken off after halftime in yesterday’s clash against Real Madrid after another disappointing outing. Liverpool do have other options in the form of Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini, but the both of them haven’t impressed either when given the chance. 24-year old Daniel Sturridge is the only player who looks like he can cause problems, but his injury record isn’t the best.
Since making the €37m switch to Napoli from Real Madrid, El Papita has scored 27 times in 57 appearances for the club. However, like Balotelli for Liverpool, he has struggled to find the net in Serie so far as he is yet to open his account after having played 7 games for Napoli this season. Liverpool fans will not want another striker who is struggling in front of goal, but they will definitely prefer someone who is contributing more to the team than current striker Mario Balotelli who has been below average until now.
Liverpool were facing competition from Arsenal for the striker, but at the moment it definitely looks like Anfield will be the destination for the Argentina international come January.
