SIR ALEX FERGUSON says Manchester United did not complete a permanent deal for Radamel Falcao due to his previous injury record.

The Colombia forward joined United on-loan from big-spending French club Monaco in a surprise deadline day deal.
Falcao is still working his way back to full match fitness having only returned to action in August from a cruciate knee ligament injury suffered at beginning of the year.
The 28-year-old, who missed this summer's World Cup in Brazil because of that injury, admitted earlier this month that new United boss Louis van Gaal had gambled by bringing him to Old Trafford.
And legendary United manager Ferguson believes his former club made the right choice by securing Falcao on an initial season-long loan.
