Mourinho, who has guided the Blues to the summit of the Premier League, had the chance to swap Real Madrid for PSG in the season he lifted the La Liga title.
And he has also explained that he was at the top of PSG's shortlist before they switched their attentions to Carlo Ancelotti.
"I knew about the project (at PSG) even before it began. I was Leonardo’s first choice (ahead of Ancelotti)," Mourinho told Telefoot.
"And when Carlo left (in 2013), they made me another offer. I have rejected them twice.
"I thought a lot about it. But the first time, there was Real Madrid and the second time there was Chelsea."
The Portuguese tactician is also a big admirer of Real centre back Raphael Varane, but isn't expecting him to come to Stamford Bridge.
He added: "Everybody is talking about Varane coming to Chelsea because they know he is a player I like a lot but everybody knows that he will stay at Real Madrid."
