Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has backed his new teammate Danny Welbeck to become a club legend.
The England international left Manchester United and completed his switch to the Emirates in the final hour of the transfer window. Since joining the north London side, the 23-year-old is playing in his preferred position as a centre forward.
Welbeck scored a hat-trick during Arsenal's 4-1 Champions League victory over Galatasaray. United legend Gary Neville believes the striker can improve his goal-scoring record for his new club.
Ramsey has echoed Neville's comments and insists he will find the back of the net regularly for Arsene Wenger's side.
"Welbeck has everything to make himself an Arsenal legend. He has pace, strength and finishing," Ramsey told talkSPORT.
"He scored a very Thierry Henry-esque goal against Galatasaray, he just opened up his body and forced it into the side of the net."
"He put in a great performance on Wednesday night. It was the first hat-trick of his career and that will be important for him. He can tick that off and set his sights on getting more goals," the Gunners midfielder concluded.
The Welsh international picked up an injury during the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. Wenger earlier admitted the midfielder could be on the sidelines for a month and will miss Arsenal's crucial clash against Chelsea on Sunday.
Meanwhile, another Arsenal player Kieran Gibbs has also heaped praise on Welbeck, saying the former United man was like an "animal" against Galatasaray.
"He was an animal tonight. Credit to him - he works hard, he's professional and he's a great player. He's important for us," Gibbs told Arsenal's official website.
"I think he has a bit of everything. He's quick, he's strong, he holds up the ball and he works hard. When you work hard like that, the harder you work, the luckier you get. Credit to him - he fully deserves his hat-trick and his performance."
Wenger takes his men to Stamford Bridge as Arsenal face Chelsea in the next league tie. It remains to be seen whether Welbeck can help his side seal a victory over the Premier League leaders on Sunday.
