Anfield side boosted by possibility of landing long term target when the transfer window re-opens.
Liverpool have been offered another chance to sign long term target Xherdan Shaqiri with the Bayern Munich man ready to jump ship in January according to the Daily Star.
Ratings and Analysis of Liverpool’s Summer Transfer Activity
The 22 year old was the subject of a ‘concrete’ offer from the Anfield side over the summer but the Allianz Arena side turned it down flat but should Shaqiri struggle for regular first team action then he will consider a possible move away from the Bundesliga side when the transfer window reopens in January.

On the subject of a possible Liverpool move Shaqiri stated;
“Liverpool made a bid for me before the World Cup but Bayern put their foot down and told me, ‘We’re not going to sell you’,” he said.
“My contract runs until 2016 and I could possibly extend it.
“I will consider my decision during the winter break.”
Liverpools interest in Shaqiri dates back to earlier this year when Brendan Rodgers missed out on Chelsea bound winger Mohamed Salah and it’s likely that the Northern Irish boss would consider a fresh offer in January.
Shaqiri has made just 23 Bundesliga starts in his first two seasons at the club and may be concerned that he is stagnating on the bench with Pep Guardiola seemingly not seeing the youngster as a crucial member of his Bayern Munich squad.
