Daley Blind will not be playing centre-back against West Ham

Manchester United take on West Ham tomorrow, in a game that is a must-win for the home side despite being only five games into the new season. The Hammers have made a good start to their season, and are looking like a much better footballing side to watch after orders from the board indicated that they were looking to play in a more expressive style.
When quizzed about the possibility of deploying Blind as a centre-back, Van Gaal said:
“I don’t like having too many left-sided defenders or left-footed players in defence, I think always of balance so [instead] I have to pick up a right-sided central defender from the youth education.” He said.“Normally, I am always doing things like that. I have already said that we have a lot of vacancies when you buy only six players and let 14 players go.”
Louis van Gaal has always liked to have one left-footed centre-back and one right-footed centre-back amongst his back four. He likes the balance of the pair and he prefers it if his defenders can use two feet when the need arises.
