Lukas Podolski and Alexis Sánchez took team bonding to a new level after the Arsenal duo enjoyed a “Chile” ice bath following training on Thursday.
The Arsenal pair were unable to help prevent the Gunners suffering a 2-1 loss to Southampton at The Emirates on Tuesday, despite Sánchez’s superb free-kick.
However, Arsène Wenger’s side have little time to lick their wounds ahead of a mouthwatering north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
And Podolski appeared in relaxed mood on Instagram as the World Cup winner posted a photo with Sánchez in an ice bath at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground.
“Take on each day & challenge with a smile. Ice bath recovery with Sánchez! It’s a bit ‘Chile’ in here. Have a ‘warm’ day everyone!!” Podolski posted on Instgram.
Earlier on Thursday, Arsenal manager Wenger revealed that Mathieu Flamini could be available to face Tottenham at Emirates Stadium.
Wenger said: “The only difference compared to Villa and Southampton is that Mathieu Flamini might be available again. He had a dead leg. I feel he should be back.”
