The story of Cristiano Ronaldo possibly returning to Manchester United has been the hottest transfer rumor of the past two weeks. It reached a fever pitch a few days ago dominating all the Sunday gossip pages and tabloid sheets. However, now it appears Ronaldo has shot them all down. He made comments that showed he is nothing but settled and happy in the Spanish capital.
Cristiano Ronaldo said: “It’s all speculation, speaking about my future. My future is Madrid. I’m happy.
“The season is going well and I’m not talking about my future, it doesn’t make sense.”
What makes this hilarious, and tragic. Or possibly tragically hilarious. Or maybe comically tragic is that Ronaldo said this literally came hours after a group of Manchester United fans decided to pay £3,000 to fly a banner over his next game saying ‘Come home Ronaldo’.
