Manchester United are closing in on a deal to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid after being told exactly what they need to offer to bring him back to Old Trafford.
United have reportedly made Ronaldo their number one priority ahead of the January transfer window, and have been encouraged by reports that his agent wants the switch to happen.
And now the Guardian says the Red Devils have been told exactly what they need to do in order to get their man – with a £140million package talked up.
The paper says the deal breaks down into a £60million transfer fee, plus wages of about £400,000-a-week totalling £80million across the length of the contract. Epic.
Ronaldo is doing little to talk up a Madrid exit but United are seemingly increasingly confident of doing business, having put such work into finding out the facts and figures.
