Britain could could commit to three year war against IS in Iraq today

Britain is expected to commit to a war lasting up to three years against Islamic State militants in Iraq as MPs vote on whether to back airstrikes today.
MPs are expected to back military action in an emergency sitting of Parliament at 5pm today.
All three major parties have said they will support the airstrikes, which could start within hours of the vote.
It comes as the FBI announced it has identified the Briton known as ‘Jihadi John’ seen on propaganda murder videos released by the militant group.
