PSG Leading The Chase For Manchester United Target

PSG Leading The Chase For Manchester United Target

Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman after moneybags Paris Saint Germain entered the race to sign him.

The Dutch anchorman is currently recovering from a serious knee injury suffered last season, but has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford after previously working with United manager Louis Van Gaal at international level.

With the Premier League side failing to negotiate a deal for Strootman before the transfer window slammed shut, rumours have suggested that they will return with another offer in January.

But, according to the Mirror, French champions PSG have edged ahead in the race for the 24-year-old as they consider offering wonderkid Adrien Rabot as part of the deal.

Rabot has also attracted the attention of Arsenal, and Arsene Wenger is known to be a keen admirer of the young talent.

Should they miss out on Strootman, United could once again try to lure summer target Arturo Vidal to Manchester as they look to add bite to their midfield.
