Dwayne Farrell, 24, was arrested at Norwich rail station after he had returned from London with the drugs and also had £135 in cash on him, Norwich Crown Court was told.
Chris Youell, prosecuting, said that the drugs were not found until Farrell was taken for x-rays which showed two separate packets.
Mr Youell said that police held Farrell until he passed the drugs when he went to the toilet.
Mr Youell said one packet contained crack cocaine with a street value of £2044 and the other packet had heroin with a street value of £1460.
He said the drugs would have been sold on the streets of Norfolk.
Farrell, of no fixed address, who had only just been released from prison for previous drugs offences, admitted possession of Class A with intent and was jailed for four years.
Judge Stephen Holt warned him that unless he stopped offending his sentences would get longer and longer,
David Wilson, prosecuting, said that Farrell had been forced to act as a courier as he owed a debt to drugs dealers.
He said that Farrell was under pressure but now wanted to try to break the cycle.
He said Farrell planned to move away from the area on his release.
