Here are the latest Manchester United transfer rumors circulating in the Twitterverse, blogosphere, cyberspace and media world. Not all of these will actually happen, but they are all interesting to read nonetheless. It’s always fun to speculate who might be coming to/leaving from Old Trafford.
Hey, it’s never too early to talk about the summer window! We start with updates on a couple of one-name sensations:
-Is Van Gaal trying to sign Porto right-back Danilo? The Daily Express says that Manchester United are keen but want a purchase price much lower than the £37m release clause.
-Spanish paper AS reports that Barcelona could let Pedro go this summer. The 27-year-old winger has been linked with a Nou Camp exit on a number of occasions previously, but this article says that this is the summer it could finally happen with Chelsea, United and Arsenal as possible suitors this time.

-United are looking at Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, says The Sun. The club sent scouts to the watch Champions League action against Bayern Leverkusen last week.
-(Daily Star) David Beckham’s 15-year-old son Brooklyn could follow his father’s example and play for Manchester United once he is released by Arsenal at the end of the season. I know most of the truly devoted United supporters seem to have really lost interest in most stories that revolve around Becks.

I don’t know why that is, but I do see the apathy reflected in page view counts for Beckham material, but he’s still a club legend. Beckham will always be a Manchester United icon, and he’s still a gigantic international superstar today.
-Finally, James McCarthy becomes a new name surfacing in the rumor mill:
